GXSCC Beta127 (English)

Requirements:
- Windows95/98/NT4(after SP3)/Me/2000/XP.
- Sound card with 16 bit stereo PCM, for PCI slot (hopefully).
- Pentium2 over 400Mhz is recommended for realtime play.
- 64MB memories are recommended.

This software is Freeware.
GXSCC is a quite unique MIDI player to support MID/SMF/RCP(*) formats. It doesn't depend on sound devices, plays with emulating SCC sound chip which once had been embraced as an external module for Konami's MSX cartridges like Nemesis II. It follows that all MIDI songs are changed to chiptunes!

* To play RCP format you should install RCPCV produced by Mr.Fumy. Copy RCPCV.dll into the same folder as GXSCC. RCPCV isn't included in this archive. Please get it by yourself.

Main changes from previous version (Beta 93):

- Loaded a little decent envelope generator. All decays had been simple
patterns (or nothing), but now it supports the attack ratio control. So it
seems more 'simulated'. And ugly sounds may be decreased since release ratio
isn't set to zero anymore.
- Waveform over sampling routine was changed a lot. Beta93 supported 64 times
over sampling. However, this version becomes 1024 times. And CPU load for
over sampling was fairly decreased. So the quality of sound seems quite
improved.
- Added low-pass filter.
- Supported monaural output.
- Changed the saw wave form. It contained strange noises.
- Supported title display. If it doesn't have a title, displays the file name.
- Processing speed was more improved.
- Supported play position display and control, though still buggy.
- Decreased the frequency of white noize for drum sets. It was too high.
- Temporally, PC119 (SynthDrum) was made audible appropriately by program
control.
- Also temporally, PC123 (Seashore) and PC127 (Applause) were made audible by
white noize of program control.
- More temporally, only the timpani of PC49 (Orchestra) drum set for SC-88
was made audible appropriately by program control.
- Improved PSG drums. Decenter than previous one?
- The hold processing was a bit strange - fixed.
- Added a few basic wave forms.
- Supported Roland master volume reception.
- Overdrive/distortion guitars for OPLL? mode were bothersome, so their volume
were a bit decreased. Anyway the volume balance of OPLL? mode is still mess.
I can't complain, because it's OPLL ;)
- Supported the memory of the previous window position. The trouble for the
person who got offended since it always came out to the upper left is solved
now!
- Improved the display while authoring a bit, because it was far from good
enough.
- Now it re-starts automatically when it's needed.
- Covenants for use were changed so that the person outside the country is
also allowed to use.

= Fixed bug
- "Velocity" at the main panel was the mistake of "Volume".
- The bar display of software envelope was completely wrong.
- The request of re-start wasn't displayed after BufferCount changed.
- RCP file couldn't be authored.
- It allowed to change while autoring.

The above were fixed, or seemed to be fixed. Others may be what I haven't
noticed yet, or what haven't been reported from nobody, or what I don't
have a motivation to do.
